PROGRESS, LITTLE CRANE PEACE QUILT

I'm about ready to quilt this little one. I think it looks peaceful and even with all the waste, I like it.

Bea that's beautiful. I love the way you done the sashing and border, it has a watercolor effect.

I agree with Donna! I love that mini. It is so peaceful for some reason.
I really like paper piecing. I know there is more waste, but with the way I do a 1/4 inch, I actually save fabric!!! lol
That is because I get disgusted and end up throwing blocks away when I just do plain piecing.

Bea,
I'm not sure if you also do it this way, but when I made my crane quilt, I cut all of my fabric into strips. So, when I made each pp block, I would use the different size strips. It cut down on waste quite a lot.
Your cranes look great! Did you design the pattern yourself?
I am still removing the paper foundations from the back of mine, getting it ready to quilt.

Yes! Please do tell us where you got your PP pattern! I've been thinking of trying paper piecing and this design looks worth the trouble.
