Some order at last....

By the end of today I expect to have a table up and a machine actually plugged in!  The china closet made it's way up the 2 sets of stairs and has new paint and new hardware. All those containers on the bookcase need going through but for now they found a home.

I don't have the bed set up yet. That will serve as a place for one guest. There are still pieces of furniture sitting downstairs that need to come up, maybe today.

Thank you Gina from South Wales for the lovely quilt. I so miss your blog so if you are back on please let me know. I miss all your stories about Gema and  your beautiful garden.

I've enjoyed hanging up some of my quilts. Lois, if you are reading this, your quilts are still my favorite mini's! To everyone else, know I treasure them all. Each says something different to me.

First sign of spring planting

It's not much but I can see lots of little heads ready to pop up in my trays of Lavender. See that one little string in the upper top..that's my first seed to pop up!

Slowly making some progress

It's slow going with all the painting of used furniture I'm doing but slowly it's getting done one coat of paint at a time. The largest piece is the China Closet that needs sanding but the weather is holding that project up. I did get the drawer and door to it painted today.

I did some thrift shop hunting and found some nice shelves and containers for Jars of buttons and such. In the middle of all this painting I did manage to put up a shelf for my violets that needed some sunshine badly.

In the attic I have things sorted and ready to give them homes in the furniture.

I also managed to find a cute microwave dish to turn into a hanging bird bath. All I need is more chain and some S hooks. So progress is being made. Maybe next week I can put up the tables and open the sewing machines.
