All the heart blocks are in for the 2 quilts I need to work on for a friend who lost her son and toddler grandson back in November. One quilt for her and one for her daughter in law.
It always amazes me that you get beautiful quilts out of blocks from so many ladies and no quilt pattern. The amount of blocks determines how they will be placed to make a quilt top. After laying them out and adding blue blocks, I decided it needed more white which I ordered on line. In the meantime, I have almost all the sections of the first quilt put together.
Yep, that is the Christmas tree in the background. Maybe after I get these tops put together I'll feel in the mood to take it down, or maybe not.
This is the last section on the right side, bottom to sew together and then I can start on quilt 2 while I wait for the order to arrive. The second quilt will be totally different, more large blocks and less small heart blocks.

Hi Bea! I stumbled onto your blog. I hope you are feeling less down in the dumps or depressed. I haven't read much of your blog but felt moved to let you know that one person in Washington State is thinking of you and cheering you on. I will read more of the blog tonight. Hugs, Karen
Hi Bea, So sorry to hear that you've been so down in the dumps but glad to hear that you're making a come back! I really wish that we could reach thru our computer screens and give hugs when needed...but since that's not possible, just know that I'm sending LOTS Of hugs, thoughts and prayers your way girlfriend! Keep on keeping on and know that someone in MN is thinking of you and thinks you're awesome!!!!

Ooops forgot to say that the quilt tops are coming along GREAT...love'em...good job gf! Wish I lived closer so I could give ya a hand!!!! :)
Oh Bea, I am glad you are starting to feel better. Did you get your meds yesterday?
Winter really does getting a person down. The two days away last week helped me feel better, and my Mom going to Florida lifted my spirits, probably as much as hers.
Lets get together next month in Brookville! I will figure out some weather issues, and get back to you.
Hang in there Darlin'. When you get so down, there's no place to go but up! Keep on smiling. ;o)
Yeah, feeling bad and all that snow! It's no wonder you've been down and out! I'm right there with you...and have been amazed that just a couple of good weather days lately has really improved my "vision of the world".
Those hearts are really looking good. So cheerful!
Glad that you're back Bea. The heart quilt blocks are wonderful. The mother and daughter in-law I'm sure will treasure the quilts.
Take care.
Glad you are starting to feel more like yourself again.
never apologise for being depressed. You wouldn't apologise for having a cold or any other physical illness so you should never have to apologise for a mental issue.Guilt at being depressed just prolongs the depression. It's a vicious circle. I was given this advice by a counsellor and it really helps with how I deal with my depression.
Love and hugs Gina xxx
